About the Opportunity Northeastern University’s College of
Professional Studies Biological Sciences Program is accepting
applications for part-time Lecturers that can teach the lecture or
lab sections of Chemistry (General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry
and/or Analytical Chemistry) on the Boston campus. The College of
Professional Studies is one of ten colleges of Northeastern
University, a nationally ranked private research university.
Founded in 1960, the College provides lifelong experiential
learning that unleashes the capacities of aspiring individuals in
all stages and walks of life. The College teaches undergraduate,
graduate, and doctoral students on campus and online in more than
90 programs. Northeastern University will not provide H-1B, TN,

Furthermore, the successful applicant must be able to maintain
valid work authorization in the United States throughout the entire
appointment without Northeastern University’s sponsorship for a
visa. Responsibilities Qualified candidates must be prepared to
work with global student populations. The Lecturer will teach night
courses, in person, in our undergraduate program on our Boston
campus, multiple sections are available. Screening and review of
candidate application materials will begin immediately and will be
ongoing. Part-time Lecturers are expected to work collaboratively
with the Program Lead in the department to ensure consistent course
delivery including the alignment of lecture content and lab
activities, scientific skills development, and assessment of the
curriculum across all lecture and lab sections. Lectures must use
the College's learning management system, Canvas, to post syllabus,
assignments, grades and other materials to communicate with
students. Qualifications Minimum Requirements: A minimum of a
Master's degree in Chemistry or a closely related field is required
The department is seeking candidates with a history of effective
teaching, including experience using active learning techniques.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Canvas LMS a plus.
