Job Description:

Service Representative - Full time and Part-time 20+ hours available, including working at least 1 Saturday per month (4 - 4.5 hours).

The Service Representative is responsible for providing exceptional customer service by being the face of the organization, completing customer transactions, and guiding the customer to the right person to better fulfill their needs.

Experience & Education Requirements:

Associates degree, college level courses or equivalent business experience
Successful completion of in-house training program or other approved training program
Proven organizational and customer service skills

Specific Job Functions:

Responsible for comprehensive, prompt and efficient customer interactions
Provides a wide array of teller transactions. Receives checks and cash for deposits to accounts, verifies amounts, examines checks for proper endorsement, processes withdrawals and enters deposits into computer records
Receives mortgage, consumer loan and other payments and ensures the payments match balances due. Enters payments into computer. Generates customer receipts.
Balances cash drawer and compares totaled amounts to computer generated proof sheet. Reports any discrepancies to the supervisor as necessary
Participates in sales, service and product training meetings. Attends seminars regarding banking industry activities
Engages customers in conversations to understand their basic needs and refers them to the appropriate department.
Keeps informed of relative changes in bank policies, procedures and products
Deliver clarity to customers through simplicity, guidance, and know-how.
Interface with customers via telephone or in person.
Must be able to support multiple branch locations as needed.
Adherence to all operational, regulatory and security requirements, directives and procedures while minimizing losses.
Contributing to the achievement of goals through individual and group efforts and by offering ideas for improving processes and exceeding customer expectations.

Required knowledge, skills & abilities:

Good sales, interpersonal and communication skills
Good understanding of financial products and services
Good organizational, and computer skills
Must possess a professional demeanor including business attire, courtesy, tact and conflict management skills
Ability to adapt to changing demands and requirements
Successful completion of in-house training programs or other approved training programs
Compliance with BSA regulations as appropriate to the position
