Position Overview:
Spencer Thomas Group (STG) is currently looking for a WFN Payroll
Consultant to support a client that recently went through a payroll
transition and needs an individual to steady their payroll
department.
The Payroll Manager will oversee all aspects of payroll processing
and will serve as a trusted partner at all levels of the
organization. If you have superior leadership and extensive
experience in ADP Comprehensive Services/Workforce Now, this may be
the role for you.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance in all aspects of Human Resource regulations,
including employee recruitment, onboarding, record keeping, wages,
performance management, leave administration and open enrollment
for our various benefits.
- Check exception codes and determine if they are mapped
properly
- Assist ADP Comprehensive Services in processing the weekly
payrolls for all companies and oversee ADP Comprehensive
Services/Workforce Now team.
- Ensure all garnishments, 401K deductions are timely sent to
vendors and agencies.
- Coordinate the reporting of wages for workers' compensation and
assist with the annual WC and 401K audits.
- Report Workers' Compensation claims.
- Ensure W-2 and ACA forms are issued correctly and
timely.
- Assist employees with FMLA, Disability and Long-Term Disability
claims. Oversee employee relations and help maintain a healthy and
respectful work environment.
- Apply the company policies and business processes.
- Handle workplace investigations, disciplinary and termination
procedures.
- Support current and future business needs through the
development, engagement, and motivation of the workforce.
- Proactively identifying opportunities and assessing
improvements to the employee experience and partner with management
to meet business objectives.
- Keep management informed of HR developments.
- Regularly communicate with employees on benefits, cost
containment programs and general company happenings, in the forms
of emails, written posts, videos and creating a monthly
newsletter.
- Identifies areas for improvement and takes initiative to
implement changes that increase payroll effectiveness.
- Manages, completes, or supports the implementation of
payroll-related initiatives and projects.
- Export and import data into payroll database.
- Audit payroll in a timely fashion to ensure accuracy before
transmission,
- Drive process to review, design, and document payroll
processes.
- Responsible for creating, reviewing, and distributing various
payroll reports to support financial projections, audits, HR
reviews or compliance issues.
- Trouble-shoot issues in processes, functions, interfaces
relating to HR, Payroll, Benefits, Time Entry
Required Qualification(s):
- Experience with ADP Workforce required.
- Experience with ADP Comprehensive Services is a plus.
- Ability to support and advise business partners in analyzing
their needs and finding solutions.
- Proven experience as a trusted partner in all levels of the
organization and positively influence teams.
- Proficiency in basic Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to communicate with vendors.
- Ability to confidently communicate in written and verbal format
to all levels of the organization.
Duration: This is a contract role with an initial duration of 2
months with the possibility of extending
Level of Effort: 25-30 hours per week
Working Hours: EST
