Project Engineer / Project Scheduler at Perini Management Services,
you will have the opportunity to:Description:Project Engineer
Ensure project engineering activities
comply with company and contract requirements and support overall
construction scheduleCoordinate with and assist in the management
of the project designer of record during the design phase of our
design/build projectsProvide draft design document review prior to
submission to the clientProvide technical support for construction
effort including participation in construction planning and design;
interpretation of design; application of construction methods;
resolution and documentation of design conflicts; constructability
reviews, review of product data submittalsDevelop, implement, and
administer project engineering procedures and other work
controlling documents.Represent company, project and/or department
during A/E, client, and project management meetingsInterface with
all on-site departments as required to resolve problems, ensure
quality of construction, etc. in support of overall project
scheduleProvide support on preconstruction activities, including
subcontractors, purchase orders and procurementProvide support for
post-design construction submittals and RFI'sScheduler
Assist in the creation of proposal
and baseline schedules through analyzing project drawings and
specifications and interpreting subcontractor schedules to specify
work activities, durations, and sequencing.Update project schedules
with monthly activity progress through communication with project
teams.Prepare reports for management and client review including
Gantt charts, earned value reports, cost graphs, and resource
graphs.Transpose cost and resource data into schedules and
spreadsheets according to project and department financial
reporting requirements.Participate in schedule review meetings with
project teams, estimating staff, and clients; maintain meeting
minutes.Assist with change management, claims and
TIA's.Requirements:
3 or more years of experience in the
construction industry with an emphasis on construction management,
project engineering, or scheduling Four-year construction related
degree (Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management) or
equivalent technical training and related field experienceStrong
interpersonal and communication skills both written and oralAbility
to work in a team environment or independently on multiple projects
at the same time Ability to understand construction plans and
specificationsWorking knowledge of construction engineering
technology, codes, standards, etc.Strong knowledge of Microsoft
Office Suite and computer literacy Proficiency with Primavera P6
and/or AutoCAD a plusDesign-Build Experience is a plusTraining will
