We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our dynamic and innovative team of scientists in US Large Molecule Research Protein Production. We are dedicated to the rapid expression and purification of recombinant proteins and antibodies to advance exciting discovery research projects in Sanofi's portfolio spanning Oncology, Immunology and Inflammation, Neuroscience and Rare blood disorders.-- Key Responsibilities: Expression of recombinant proteins and antibodies employing a range of host cell systems using cutting edge as well as established technical procedures. Purification of recombinant proteins and antibodies using affinity-based and/or conventional chromatographic separation techniques; use of automated purification platforms such as AKTA. Characterization of produced proteins and antibody drug candidates using SDS-PAGE, analytical SEC, endotoxin analysis, immunoblotting, SPR, flow cytometry, or related techniques. Documentation, analysis and presentation of data in well-organized written and oral formats. Basic Qualifications: Requires a MS with a minimum of 1 year industry experience, or a BS with a minimum of 4 years industry experience. Past lab experience must include hands on research experience and the ability to apply technical skills in the areas of cell culture, mammalian cell transient transfection and the purification of recombinant proteins. The candidate should have effective communication skills, the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment, and present data in well-organized written and oral formats
Preferred Qualifications: Experience in protein expression using suspension cultures of mammalian cells (HEK, CHO) as well as insect cells and/or E. coli employing transient and stable expression technologies. Hands on experience using automated protein purification systems such as AKTA or similar. Demonstrated ability to innovate in the areas of cell culture and mammalian cell expression. Prior experience with protein analytical techniques such as BIAcore, SDS-PAGE, immunoblotting, etc. Prior hands on experience with high throughput expression and purification platforms and/or production and characterization of multi-specific antibody formats.
