here.POSITION SUMMARY:Responsible for implementing treatment plans
and for the direct care and safety of the children residing at
Walden School.FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Supervise children in
daily routines and assist with the activities of daily living
skills.Support and assist children using methods which reflect the
treatment philosophy of Walden School.Develop and maintain
meaningful and supportive relationships with the children while
maintaining appropriate adult/child boundaries.Convey all pertinent
information concerning students to other staff via e-mail, logs and
incident reports.Maintain current certification in PART, Pro-Act,
OSHA, CPR and First Aid.Utilize behavior management techniques that
are consistent with the Walden School mission statement and
individual students' treatment plans. Prepare living skills
activities that are age and skill appropriate for students in the

Duties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time
with or without notice. Requirements:--- At least one year of
experience in a residential treatment program or a degree in Human
Services preferred--- Previous experience with crisis prevention
and ability to prevent harmful behaviors preferred--- Must be able
to remain calm, non-defensive with a supportive attitude during
crisis or potential crisis --- A minimum of conversational fluency
in American Sign Language required, with native, or near-native ASL
fluency preferredThis position is open on a rotating basis, until
all vacancies are filled.Starting pay $20
