Non licensed Clinicians:$65,000-$70,000
Licensed staff $70,000-$75,000
The CBHC Co-occurring Substance Use Disorder Counselor (SUDC) provides assessment and treatment to CBHC participants diagnosed with substance use disorders, some of whom are diagnosed with co-occurring mental health conditions.

Responsibilities



  • Be a member of the Recovery Team which includes Nurses, Clinicians, Psychiatrist, Medical Assistants, Recovery Coaches, and Recovery Support Navigators


  • Serve as primary clinician for assigned CBHC participants. Complete comprehensive bio/psycho/social assessment with clients. Determine health status and assess for risk. Complete diagnosis. Engage clients and collaborate with team to develop integrated treatment (IT) plan. Identify CBHC services and other supports required to enable the client to meet IT goals. Develop written crisis management plans and share bidirectionally with crisis mental health services.


  • Provide high quality evaluations, individual, and group clinical services in coordination with CBHC recovery team.


  • Participate in training and supervision on Evidence-based practices (EBTs) and provide EBT based therapeutic treatment.


  • Support CBHC clients through EBTs including Screening, Brief Intervention and Referral for Treatment, Adolescent Community Reinforcement Approach, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Seeking Safety, Stages of Change, and Smoke-Free program.


  • Develop discharge plans for aftercare, as needed, for clients upon meeting treatment goals.


  • Support the CBHC integrated treatment teams concerning the areas of Addiction Recovery and co-occurring disorders.


  • Engage individuals in other CBHC services, E.g. Peer Support, Recovery Coaching, Care Management, Psychiatric Rehabilitation Services, Social Support Opportunities, and Community Recovery Supports.


  • Ensure services are delivered and documented in accordance with Advocates clinical philosophy and all licensing and regulatory bodies.


  • Complete documentation to ensure it meets clinical and compliance standards.


  • Provide feedback to supervisorand generate reports as necessary to maintain satisfactory compliance standards.


  • Attend and actively participate in all supervisions and staff meetings.


  • Attend and actively participates in trainings as assigned; maintain necessary certifications and licenses.


    Qualifications


    • MSW degree or MA in related field from an accredited college/university.


    • LADC I, LICSW, LMHC, or LMFT preferred


    • Minimum of one-year experience in community and clinic settings strongly preferred.


    • Demonstrated understanding of and competence in serving culturally diverse populations.


    • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.


    • Ability to read and write English and communicate effectively in the primary language of the program to which assigned. Bi/trilingual (Spanish/Portuguese) preferred.


    • Strong computer knowledge.


    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and work independently and independently.


    • Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task.


    • Outstanding reasoning and problem-solving abilities.


    • Proven ability to manage own schedule with clients and group commitments


    • Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.


    • High energy level, superior interpersonal skills and ability to function in a team atmosphere.
