Job Description Title: Research Associate I Location: MA;
Framingham Duration: 12 months Job Description: Key
Responsibilities -- Develop, optimize, qualify, U/HPLC and LCMS
methods for quantitation and characterization of various
therapeutic monoclonal modalities. -- Perform analytical
measurements using liquid chromatography analyzers (e.g. UPLC/HPLC)
and spectroscopy tools (mass spectrometry, Raman and FTIR, etc.) --
Independently plan and execute experiments with little guidance
from their supervisor -- Ensure data quality and reliability,
accurate data interpretation; summarize assay results in technical
presentations/reports. -- Maintain accurate and up-to-date
electronic notebook records. -- Participates in general lab
activities to maintain lab infrastructure (e.g., lab organization,
chemical inventory, instrument log maintenance, etc.) -- Write
Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), technical reports, and
PowerPoint presentations. Basic Qualifications -- Bachelor---s
degree (2 years) or Master---s degree (0-2 years) in Analytical
Chemistry, Biochemistry or related field -- Knowledge in the
analysis of monoclonal antibodies and other protein biotherapeutics
-- Familiarity in development of methods for proteins and peptides
using Liquid Chromatography separations (e.g. reversed-phase, size
exclusion, affinity chromatography, etc.), and spectroscopy
instruments for protein identification and chemical fingerprinting
-- Knowledge in the operation of U/HPLC (Waters and Agilent) and
LC-MS systems (Q Exactive (ThermoFisher), Xevo QTOF (Waters)) is a
plus Preferred Qualification -- Familiarity with separation and
spectroscopy technologies -- Exceptional analytical and
organizational skills; diligent record-keeping; attention to
detail, and ability to multitask -- Excellent written, verbal
communication, and presentation skills -- Adapts and responds well
to changes in priorities and tight timelines -- Works independently
