Title: System and control Engineer
Location: Framingham, MA
Job Summary - Onsite/permanent/FT
This position will report directly to Head of Process Engineering and be located at the state-of-the-art virus and cell therapy manufacturing facility in Framingham, MA.
Responsibilities
Integration of equipment with SCADA including panel, wiring, and IO design and verification
Specification of automated skids, controllers, and instrumentation
Generation of instrument calibration requirements and justification
Support commissioning and qualification as I&C SME
Ongoing support of building and equipment automation (troubleshooting) and implementing continuous improvement opportunities
Liaison between equipment system owners within Manufacturing, Facilities, and Engineering and automation programming and integration engineers.
Provide technical guidance and analysis for the resolution of equipment controls related deviations and investigations
Lead implementation of process improvement projects through change control
Develop department procedures and specifications
Qualifications
Experience in system, network, hardware and control panel design for manufacturing equipment including HMIs, SCADA systems, and PLCs
Excellent attention to detail and capable of managing multiple priorities with aggressive timelines
Strong interpersonal communication skills and ability to work effectively with internal cross functional teams and external partners and vendors
Proficient at applying good engineering practices, industry guidance's, and regulatory requirements
Creative problem solver and decision maker
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field or Licensed Electrician with 5+ years experience in a cGMP manufacturing environment
Experience with OPC, analog, bus, networks, etc
General programming and troubleshooting background with PLCs, DCS, HMI, SCADA
Basic knowledge of UL508, UL508A, NFPA 70, NFPA79, and NFPA79A.
E xperience with Rockwell PlantPAx, OSI Pi, and Blue Mountain CMMS a plus
