Consumer Insights Specialist

Job Summary

The Consumer Insights Specialist will lead quantitative and qualitative research and analysis to support TJX brand's growth. The Specialist will be responsible for supporting research and analysis on on-going tracking programs (Brand, Customer Experience) and custom consumer research across TJX brands (T.J.Maxx, Marshalls, HomeGoods, Homesense, and Sierra) to guide brand strategy. A successful candidate should demonstrate strong analytics, business acumen, and communication skills. He/she will work cross-functionally with a wide variety of data sources and stakeholders including Brand, Media, Digital Experience, Merchandising.

Major Areas of Responsibility

  • Lead quantitative and qualitative research among TJX consumers to understand shifts in mindset, needs, and behaviors
  • Support continuous tracking programs, including brand tracking and customer experience
  • Integrate information from multiple research studies and sources to answer key business questions
  • Translate data into meaningful findings and communicate insights to internal team and business partners
  • Establish partnerships across various business functions within TJX, and agencies and vendors

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree; Minimum 2 years' experience in market research
  • Background in generating insights and action from quantitative research
  • Passion for understanding consumers' mindset and behaviors, advocating for the customer, and growing in the insight function
  • Ability to learn and quickly apply new tools and techniques
  • Adept at presenting complex concepts in an easy to understand and actionable way
  • Attention to details and able to grasp the big picture
  • High degree of proficiency with Microsoft Office products
