The mission of our group is to utilize data analytics and data science to create insights that make our products more enjoyable for our listeners every single day. The perfect candidate will leverage their expertise in data science and analytics to create a Center of Excellence for Bose. This role brings together information technology, data engineering, behavior science, and machine learning to quickly draw insights and help people around them make better decisions around all aspects of product development. Head Of Data and Analytics CoE measurements for success- Build Develop, define and drive the enterprise's data and analytics strategy to increase value to our customer experience. Build capability in satellite organizations like product divisions to be able to harness the full value from the data collected. As a centralized core competency, create mechanisms to use data as a strategic asset throughout the enterprise in enabling the partner organizations to accelerate their objectives Create and oversee a centralized service for sourcing external analysis to ensure quality, traceability, timeliness, usability and cost-effectiveness. Create and expand analytics based on open data offerings to empower citizens and to enable better government and commercial services. Develop and implement big data and artificial intelligence capabilities to help enhance the customer experience. Lead Represent the enterprise to regulators, customers, suppliers and external bodies in the development of industry analytical policies and standards. Create a culture that promotes data-driven decisions backed by investigation and collaboration around data Collaborate with key stakeholders of the corporation to set policy and standards regarding the use of analytics in the organization Oversee the development of analytic metrics that establish a consistent, coherent approach to data throughout the organization to tie analytics into all enterprise functions Ensure that appropriate controls exist for analytics that serve as a source of data for regulatory reports. Influence Be a champion for analytical services that the enterprise provides to the market and its analytical capabilities. Engage the right stakeholders to plan, fund and execute on new and innovative analytics-based initiatives Recruit and develop a data science organization for corporate exploitation of big data and the liberation of dark data, using cloud and social era tools and techniques for data analytics, mining and visualization. Promote analytic usage and skills among management and employees through training programs, mentoring, and use of appropriate analytics tools Provide analytics results directly to business users, allowing them to identify trends and insights; also freeing data specialists from mundane queries and reporting Drive Success Organize and coordinate the organization's disparate data streams in preparation for analytics and to promote holistic mission-critical analysis Innovate and expand the organization's research and analytics offerings Make data accessible to people who might need it Locate the new and/or best sources for data to drive more effective and efficient analytics Measure the ROI of analytics initiatives and create a standard benchmark program for measuring analytics value Scan the horizon for emerging analytical skills, techniques, technologies and, where appropriate, tools to ensure their timely introduction for competitive advantage. Research and develop new data analytics products or services to expand markets and grow company revenue. Experience 15+ years of experience in analytics leadership or comparable experience Proven track record of working with big data and social data, as well as cloud-based delivery of solutions The HDAC should have strong business acumen, problem-solving skills, and possess substantial operational experience, strong domain knowledge and a keen understating of how to leverage IT and data analytics tools Five or more years of progressive leadership experience in leading cross-functional teams and enterprise wide programs, operating and influencing effectively across the organization and within complex contexts Preferably five or more years of experience in information-intensive industries or digitally advanced enterprises Experience in integrating complex, cross-corporate processes and data models, and/or designing strategic metrics and scorecards Strategy, management consulting and global experience desirable Excellent analytical, communication, organizational and presentation skills Preferred Education A Master's degree (Ph.D. preferred) in computer science, business analytics, applied mathematics, statistics, engineering, economics, social sciences or related fields. Academic qualification or professional training in business administration and legal and regulatory areas is also desirable.
