As an Automation Engineer You will be helping to expand our growing automation roadmap in support of the DevOps capability in order to improve QA testing processes and capabilities to deliver higher quality and efficiencies.

You will be helping to deliver new capabilities that drive business results on one or more medium to large sized, moderately to highly complex IT projects and/or programs.

You will be responsible for multiple, concurrent tasks and properly assessing priorities of assigned activities and ensure integration of all dependent projects.

You will be recognized as a member of a collaborative Digital IT Team known for their can do attitudes and strong critical thinking.

Additional Responsibilities Include:

Analyze and understand requirements, devise a test plan to adequately cover the requirements, develop high-level test scenarios that implement the strategy, elaborate scenarios into detailed test cases.

Own the QA role throughout each project, including:

consumption of requirements

creation and execution of tests (manual and automated)

Monitoring/reporting of testing progress, incorporating schedule/scope changes as needed

Identification and management of defects

Triage and root cause investigation of highly complex defects

Determining when and what to re-test

Enable continuous testing and automation roadmap activities across the Digital portfolio

Code analysis, debugging, review and execution of automated scripts

Understand the build and deployment pipeline for automation

Build and maintain subject matter expertise for the systems under test and use that expertise to create, maintain, and extend the automation repository.

Support Proof of concept activities for new areas of automation

Collaborate with the business and development teams to produce requirements that are well-documented and clear.

Participate in team process improvement. Understand our development lifecycle, participate in its continuous improvement.

Assist in planning and coordinating the implementation of new QA Technologies

The Skills that will Make You Successful

3-5 years as a QA tester with experience in testing or developing automation for highly complex web applications, ERP and ecommerce projects as well as experience with industry standard QA tools for test case development, test execution, and defect management.

Demonstrated ability to analyze, innovate, architect, design and develop test scripts/cases.

Strong knowledge of QA methodologies and types of testing.

Experience must include automation and use of preferred toolsets: Selenium, Appium

Knowledge of at least 1 of each: programming language (e.g. Java, C# etc.), scripting language (Javascript, powershell, bash etc.) & database query language (SQL etc.)

Additional technical applications/skillsets that will further enable success include:

Maven, TestNG, jMeter, RestAssured

BDD Framework /Cucumber

Jenkins, Azure or other CICD pipeline tools

Browserstack, Tricentis qTest, Jira, Confluence

Well versed in Microsoft SQL Server with the ability to write queries, understand database architecture and incorporate data validation/mining into test activities

Ability to work autonomously or collaboratively and apply problem solving, critical thinking skills

Enthusiastic attitude, eager to continue growing and learning

Excellent ability to multi-task and alter direction easily to accommodate changing priorities

Ability to handle large project and/or program workload

Very strong technical, organizational, and partnering skills

Great leadership, effective communication, persuasion and negotiation skills
