As the world changes though, so must we and StaplesRetail is evolving to meet the modern needs of our customers, finding new andinnovative ways to engage customers and grow.  To that end, we havecommenced a radical transformation, and our new Retail strategy relies onadding value for customers in highly personalized and localized ways, includingnew ways to assist customers through products, price, education andevents.  The success of our transformation is critical for assuring thelongevity of our business and necessitates the delivery of new digitalexperiences that will extend and complement our in-store transformation.


What this position is all about:


We are seeking a disciplined Sr. Product Ownerthat will shape, deliver and maintain a suite of digital products required forenabling our new omni-channel digital experience.  This is an opportunity to play a pivotal rolein our digital transformation effort reinvigorating the Staples Stores brandand go-to-market position



       End to end ownership ofcustomer facing digital products and their ability to achieve committedbusiness outcomes

       Accountable to provideproduct vision and direction, establish and continually maintain related roadmaps,release manifests, backlogs, as well as user stories

       Maintain a balance of prioritiesbetween business objectives, customer needs, store associate requirements,corporate strategies and market demands

       Diligently lead key agileceremonies including sprint planning, backlog grooming, standups andretrospectives

       Play an active role in mitigatingimpediments impacting successful team completion of Release or Sprint Goals

       Collaborate closely withstakeholders across the organization in order to identify and realizeopportunities for driving online engagement and sales

       Lead a team ofmulti-disciplined technical and business resources composed of employees and externalpartners

       Work closely with digitalproduct owners, our digital design and digital engineering leads to continuallyalign roadmap synergies

       Maintain a strongcommitment to meet agreed qualitative and quantitative business unit andcorporate objectives

       A self-starter who is familiarand comfortable with all facets of technology enabled product delivery andongoing product management

       Comfortable leading andfacilitating business and technology related discussions at all organizationallevels

       A results oriented, accountableleader who is comfortable making product decisions independently, but alsosavvy enough to know when alignment, visibility and confirmation is required

       A great team leader anda natural coach who always puts the team and its members first

       Well versed in agiledelivery methods, and passionate about the disciplined execution of establishedagile processes

       An excellent listenerwho is always willing to lend an empathetic ear to customer feedback and needs

       Knowledge of ContentManagement, eCommerce, Loyalty and Digital Marketing technology platforms anasset

       Highly sensitive to privacyand information security, and their implications on the use of data

       Somebody who has continuouslyprogressed in their career and held similar roles for >5 years in a B2C context

       A university graduatewho possesses a relevant degree or an equivalent level of real-life experience
