Job Description:

Primary Responsibilities* JFW's legal counsel is responsible for advising the management of the company on all legal aspects of the company's construction business including supporting bids, proposals (RFQ, RFP and Contract negotiations).* Ongoing management of procurement, claims, litigation and miscellaneous corporate/commercial matters.* Drafting and negotiating agreements related to the company's construction activities.* Working with executives to resolve project specific issues and provide legal advice.* Ensuring compliance with contract requirements and contract management procedures.* Ensuring compliance with claim management procedures.* Reviewing any adjustments made to contracts and ensuring that the specifications comply with agreements made* Maintaining contract information database and file* Open and transparent communications with and reporting to General Counsel and willingness to take direction* Conduct periodic training to company employees on topics such as false claims, compliance, commercial topics, contracts.* Performs other related duties as required and assignedProfile:* Bachelor's degree and Juris Doctorate required* Attorney admitted in Massachusetts* Construction experience required, preferably in-house.* 7+ years of experience with a minimum of 5 years of experience in contracts and negotiationsEqual Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with DisabilitiesThe contractor will not discharge or in any other manner discriminate against employees or applicants because they have inquired about, discussed, or disclosed their own pay or the pay of another employee or applicant.
