Job Description Job Description Direct Counsel is seeking a Fund Formation Associate Attorney to join a leading national law firm’s private investment funds practice. This position is available in Boston, Chicago, Washington, D.C., New York, Palo Alto, or San Francisco . About the Role The firm is seeking an attorney with 2 years of private investment fund formation experience . Ideal candidates will have hands-on experience representing both sponsors and investors across the full lifecycle of private investment funds. Key experience includes: Executing fund formation transactions Handling sponsor-level matters , including general partner and management company structuring Assisting with secondary transactions involving limited partner interests or portfolio company interests Advising on a range of complex fund-related matters within a sophisticated corporate practice Candidates should have prior experience in the corporate department of a national or international law firm and strong academic credentials from a nationally recognized law school . Compensation & Benefits Expected annual salary: $235,000 (Final compensation depends on location, skillset, and experience.)
