Job Description
*The business support specialist plays an essential role within the
Americas Technical Support (ATS) team. This team is responsible for
managing all incoming internal and customer inquiries related to
LC-MS applications and the full suite of SCIEX software. The
business support specialist will be responsible for the significant
volume of software licensing inquiries that come in through the
various technical support channels. Additionally, this individual
will support the creation of custom reports (Analyst Reporter,
SCIEX OS) by performing a range of modifications to existing report
templates. Quick and efficient handling of licensing issues and
report requests is the primary goal of the role. This critical role
requires excellent customer-facing skills, strong problem solving
and the ability to handle and prioritize multiple cases.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Actively manage software license deployment and
utilization. Support end-users and license administrators with
licensing issues. Support filed service and application scientists
with licensing issues. Support creation of customer reports by
performing a range of modifications (Microsoft Office and Excel
based) to existing report template.QUALIFICATIONS: High School
Diploma, or equivalent with no less than 5 years of experience with
license deployment and utilization. Recent experience with
salesforce.com preferred. Skilled with Microsoft Office and Excel,
including experience with basic programming. Strong analytical
thinking, organizational, and excellent problem-solving skills.
Experienced in working in a fast-paced environment. Strong written
and verbal communication skills. Strong work ethic with the ability
to prioritize high volume workload. Able to work well in a dynamic
environment where priorities may shift.
