Job Description:
Position Overview:Sanofi seeks a talented Scientist to join our
Process Analytical Technology (PAT) Development team, part of the
Global CMC Development organization of Sanofi R&D. This
individual will join a motivated team and serve as a key technical
expert in applying PAT tools such as vibrational spectroscopy
(Raman, FTIR, NIR) and other analyzers (e.g., sensors, UPLC) for
real-time analytics and process control in support of early- to
late-stage bioprocess development.Key Responsibilities: Hands-on
development and deployment of Raman-based PAT methods and other
in-line and on-line PAT tools to monitor and control Process
Parameters and Product Quality Attributes for therapeutic
proteins.Perform data analysis using spectroscopy instruments and
other analyzers (e.g., smart sensors, micro-Chips, UPLC/HPLC,
etc.).Interpret spectral data; manage and align process and
analytical data sets.Apply chemometric methods for multivariate
data analysis, responsible for model generation, validation, and
maintenance.Compile and communicate complex datasets to facilitate
informed decision-making; summarize the results in concise
technical reports and presentations.Identify process development
PAT opportunities: work with process engineers to evaluate new PAT
techniques to improve process understandingBasic
Qualifications:Ph.D. Degree in Chemical Engineering, Biochemical
Engineering, Biochemistry, Analytical Chemistry, or related
discipline, or Master's Degree with a minimum of 4 years of
relevant industry experience or Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of
6 years of relevant industry experience.Understanding of
Vibrational Spectroscopy (Raman, FTIR, NIR, etc.), spectra
interpretation, and analysis.Good knowledge of data-driven
qualitative and quantitative chemometric model building
approachesAbility to work independently in a multidisciplinary and
team environment. Excellent organizational, communication and
problem-solving skills.Self-motivated, strongly driven to succeed
and inquisitive.Preferred Qualifications:Proficient in data-driven
qualitative and quantitative chemometric model building approaches,
machine learning skills is a plus. Hands-on experience using
multivariate software platforms such MATLAB, SIMCA, Unscrambler for
data analysis and programming skills (Python, R, etc.) Strong
technical aptitude for the development, integration, and
implementation of novel process analytical technology.At Sanofi
