Human Resources & Finance Operations Manager : Well Funded

and Great Benefits!About the Company/Role: well-funded by top
venture capital investors, this Framingham based biotech is
developing novel therapeutics and has a newly created and special
opportunity to join their warm and collaborative team of 12. The
company is at a stage where they are implementing structure and
establishing processes to support their anticipated growth. In this

growth!What you'll do: broadly, you will manage Human Resources,
Benefits Administration, Payroll and AP/AR and will work in
conjunction with tech savvy CFO to create and implement technology
and systems/ process for all job functions.PAYROLL & BENEFITS:
- Manage and process payroll in TRAX (which integrates with the
Bamboo HRIS) for a current staff of 12
- Process expense reimbursements, document 83b elections, and
ensure accuracy of tax reporting and benefit deductions
- Own benefits administration: new employee enrollment, be the
in-house resource for employee benefit questions and changesAP/AR:
- Manage daily financial operations; handle accounts payables and
receivables utilizing Bill.com
- You'll use independent judgement to reconcile invoices, execute
purchase requests and will manage the processing of payments
- You'll be the check and balance on expenses and incoming funds
and will ensure invoices are authorized and approved prior to
paymentHUMAN RESOURCES:
- Manage a broad range of HR functions, including onboarding and
offboarding of employees, administering benefits, furthering
company procedures/ processes/ guidelines
- Support recruiting process as needed
- Establish HR policies and procedures, create/ maintain employee
handbook, and ensure compliance with federal and state laws. You'll
have the benefit of an external HR Attorney to assist with any
advanced legal needs
- You'll also implement the HRIS system they have selected, and
that the CFO has worked with previously, Bamboo - which is very
user-friendly!About you:
- You have 5 to 15+ years of relevant experience including
Payroll, Benefits Administration, AP/AR and HR Generalist/ HR
Business Partner functions
- Good working knowledge of all HR disciplines, federal and state
employment laws
- You're tech savvy, with strong MS Office, can pick up and
master new technologies and the ability to evaluate how technology
will integrate with business processes as needed
- Familiarity with, or ability to, quickly pick up: Bamboo, TRAX,
Bill.com and QuickBooks
- Biotech experience is required, and biotech start up or small
biotech corporate experience is of particular interest
- Purchasing experience from a Pharma/Biotech setting is a
plus
- BA/BS required, MS in HR, Accounting or MBA, and/or any HR or
Payroll certifications (PHR, SHRM, CEBS, CPP, CPB & CB) are a
plus
- *Covid 19 vaccine and booster requiredExecutive Leadership/
Hybrid status: report to, and work directly with the CFO who is a
strong resource, yet also values the independence of your role. He
is a big believer in remote work and supportive of a hybrid
situation. That said, the office is mostly scientific staff, and
they are in the office full-time so, the human resources aspect of
this role means you should either plan to be in the office at least
two or three days a week or be prepared to come in for meetings and
have a presence as needed, but not necessarily need to be in the
office full days.
