well-established, community-focused restaurant on Nantucket seeks
an enthusiastic Executive Chef to lead kitchen operations
year-round. Located near one of the island’s renowned beaches in a
historic setting, this 100-seat restaurant and bar offers the rare
chance to shape both menu and team culture. Enjoy the opportunity
to work with exceptional local ingredients—from fresh seafood to
foraged island specialties—while helping drive the restaurant’s
evolution and long-term success. Chef de Cuisine Benefits &
Compensation Generous compensation 100-150k plus Private on-island
housing available at $1,000/month (well below the market rate)
40–50% reimbursement of your health insurance premiums Full-time,

Requirements & Qualifications Minimum 3–4 years tenure in each
prior culinary leadership role Experience in fine dining or
inventive from-scratch kitchens Proven ability to lead, motivate,
and retain back-of-house teams Strong grasp of food and labor cost
controls, purchasing, and budget management Commitment to a
substance-free, professional working environment Executive Chef

Responsibilities Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring
excellence in both service and events Design and execute an
appealing menu using local, seasonal ingredients Lead hiring,
training, and mentorship for a skilled back-of-house team
Collaborate with ownership and front-of-house leadership on
specials and programming Uphold rigorous systems for prep,
cleanliness, consistency, and food safety Monitor and control food
and labor costs while maintaining top-tier quality This is an
