career!As a Senior Sous Chef, you will play a crucial role in the
successful operation of the Culinary Department at a high-volume,
high-profile corporate dining facility in Boston, MA. Your
responsibilities will include supervising, preparing, and cooking
various food items, developing daily menu items, and ensuring their
proper preparation and garnishment. You will also assist in
supervising hourly associates and collaborate with the Executive
Chef/Chef to develop new menus and manage ordering. This is an
exciting opportunity with a Monday-Friday work schedule, offering a
fantastic environment to grow your career.Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Executive Chef in managing cost controls and
overseeing expenditures for the account.
- Help plan and create diverse and appealing menus.
- Produce and execute catering events.
- Implement new culinary programs in collaboration with the
company's marketing and culinary teams.Preferred Qualifications:
- A.O.S. Degree in Culinary Arts or a culinary certificate with
the required experience.
- At least 3 years of culinary/kitchen management experience
- Catering experience is required.
- Experience in high-volume, complex foodservice operations is
required for this role.
- Institutional and batch cooking experience is helpful.
- Comprehensive knowledge of food and catering trends, with a
focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and
presentation.
- Proficiency with computers, including Microsoft Office (Word,
Excel, PowerPoint), Outlook, email, and the internet.
- Willingness to participate in patient satisfaction
programs/activities.
