Registered Nurse (RN) | Medical Intensive Care Unit Location: Salem, MA Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,221 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 5/3/2026 About the Position Job Title: RN ICU Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Intensive Care Unit Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years of Adult ICU experience required, with 2 years of continuous work experience in one location, preferably in a Medical Intensive Care Unit. License: Active RN License Certifications: AHA BLS & ACLS required. Must-Have: Must be able to read telemetry strips. Floating Required: Yes, mostly in Medical/Surgical Units, could be up to 4 or 5 patients. Description: This position is for a Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) nursing role. The nursing unit has a bed count of 20. The patient population includes a wide range of adult patients with diagnoses such as substance abuse/overdose, severe psychiatric conditions, diabetic ketoacidosis, sepsis, gastrointestinal bleed, respiratory failure, cardiac arrest, renal failure, and cardiogenic shock. Attendings and residents will be present in the unit 24 hours a day. The RN to patient ratio is typically 1:2 or 1:1 with high acuity and 1:4 or 1:5 when floated to other Medical/Surgical areas. Telemetry competency is required for this role. Rotating shifts may be required for other positions, including potential day rotations; however, this night shift does not rotate.
