Exciting Med-Surg Tele RN Opportunity!/n/nJoin our dynamic healthcare team as a Med-Surg Tele RN where every day brings new challenges and the chance to make a real impact on patient care./n/nJob Description:/n/n- Unit Focus: Med-Surg with Telemetry/n- Patient Care Responsibilities:/n - Insertion of NG tubes and peripheral IVs/n - Interpretation of telemetry strips at the bedside/n - Providing compassionate care in a telemetry setting/n- Schedule Requirements:/n - Minimum of every other weekend commitment/n - Flexible scheduling adjusted to meet unit needs/n - Self-scheduling available through an online program/n- Experience Required:/n - 5 years of medical-surgical telemetry experience or 3 years of telemetry experience/n - Prior travel experience preferred/n - Must have previously completed 2 travel assignments in facilities with 300 beds or have experience at any UVMHN acute care facility/n- Certifications Required:/n - AHA BLS/n - AHA ACLS/n - NIHSS (required before starting)/n- Preferred Skills:/n - Telemetry certification/n - EPIC system experience (within the last 2 years)/n- Patient Population:/n - Adults with a variety of diagnoses including telemetry cases, post-operative care, and chronic conditions/n- Team Environment:/n - Work collaboratively with RNs, LPNs, and LNAs/n - Supportive and tight-knit community atmosphere/n- Orientation and Support:/n - 1-2 precepted shifts plus time with educators before patient contact/n - 24/7 availability of respiratory and anesthesia support/n/nAdditional Notes:/n- Reliable transportation is a must (public transport not available)/n- Parking is free onsite/n- Housing options may be up to 15 minutes away/n/nWhy Catalytic Solutions (CatSol): /nAt CatSol, we connect dedicated therapists with rewarding assignments across the country.
