Job Description:
Join Albany Medical Center, a leading healthcare institution, as
a Clinical Nurse II in our Adult Emergency Department. This role
requires a dedicated professional to manage critical care
responsibilities in a fast-paced environment. You will be a pivotal
part of a team striving for excellence in patient care, supported
by cutting-edge medical research and educational resources. This
position involves nighttime shifts of 36 hours per week, providing
an opportunity to impact patient outcomes significantly during
critical hours. Provide direct and comprehensive nursing care to
patients in the emergency department. Assess, plan, implement, and
evaluate patient care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary
team. Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely.
Maintain accurate patient records and document all care provided.
Educate patients and their families on health preservation and
disease prevention. Respond swiftly to patient emergencies,
utilizing critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Participate
in departmental quality improvement initiatives. Proven ability to
handle emergency response and critical patient care. Strong
communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with
patients, families, and a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to
detail. Strong organizational and time management skills in a
fast-paced environment. Proficient in using healthcare technologies
and systems. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance
Registered Nurse (RN) licensed in the state of practice. Certified
Emergency Nurse (CEN) preferred but not required. Basic Life
Support (BLS) certification. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support
(ACLS) certification.
