Albany Medical Center, a leader in medical education, biomedical research, and comprehensive patient care, is seeking a dedicated and skilled RN-Ambulatory in our Neurosurgery department. This role is pivotal in providing top-tier health services combined with cutting-edge research in a collaborative environment. You will work closely with neurosurgeons and a multidisciplinary team to deliver preoperative and postoperative care, ensuring patient safety and the highest quality of care. Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for neurosurgery patients. Prepare patients for surgery and provide postoperative care. Collaborate with neurosurgeons and healthcare professionals to ensure cohesive patient care. Educate patients and their families about procedures, recovery, and ongoing health management. Administer medications and monitor patient responses to treatment. Maintain patient records and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations. Strong clinical skills in a surgical environment Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced setting Detail-oriented and proficient in patient assessment Knowledge of neurosurgical procedures and terminology Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred
