Job Description:
Albany Medical Center, a leading healthcare institution esteemed
for our hospital facilities and medical college, is looking for a
dedicated and competent Clinical Nurse II to join our Med/Surg
Float Pool. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work
across multiple medical and surgical environments, providing
essential support and expert care while adapting to different team
dynamics and patient needs. This role is ideal for those who thrive
in diverse working environments and are keen to expand their
nursing skills across various medical disciplines within our
innovative healthcare system. Provide comprehensive nursing care to
patients in multiple medical and surgical settings. Assess, plan,
implement, and evaluate patient care in collaboration with
interdisciplinary teams. Administer medications and treatments as
prescribed and monitor patients' response. Educate patients and
their families on treatment plans and health maintenance. Maintain
accurate and timely documentation of all clinical activities. Float
between units to ensure that staffing needs are met and that high
standards of care are maintained. Strong clinical skills in a
medical/surgical setting. Excellent adaptability to different units
and patient needs. Proven ability to communicate and educate
effectively. High proficiency in managing multiple patient care
priorities. Solid understanding of health and safety guidelines.

401k Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice.
Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life
Support (ACLS) preferred.
