Non-Clinical Tech Location: Morrisville, VT Agency: Acruex
Health Pay: $720 to $864 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3
days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About
the Position Pay Rate: $20.00 - $24.00/Hourly. Summary: Maintain a
safe, therapeutic environment via high?visibility patrols of ED,
behavioral health, patient units, and parking areas. Apply
trauma?informed de?escalation (e.g., CPI/MOAB/verbal judo) to
defuse agitation and prevent violence; prioritize least?restrictive
options. Manage access control and visitor screening; issue badges;
enforce unit policies and respond to alarms/infant protection
alerts. Respond to emergency codes (combative person, active
threat, fire, infant protection) to secure scenes, guide
wayfinding, and control crowds/lockdowns. Collaborate with
nursing/BH teams and liaise with law enforcement/EMS; provide
escorts and clear, professional radio comms. Document incidents and
daily activity accurately; protect PHI and follow HIPAA and
hospital/Joint Commission standards. Identify hazards/ligature
risks and report/mitigate safety issues promptly. Monitor CCTV and
access systems; secure sensitive areas (pharmacy, med rooms, data
centers); assist with restraints only per clinical direction after
de?escalation. Requirements Requirements: Maintain proficiency in
de?escalation frameworks (e.g., CPI, MOAB, Verbal Judo) and
hospital violence prevention training. Annual competencies:
use-of-force continuum (unarmed), legal/ethical standards,
reporting, HIPAA awareness, fire/life safety, HazMat awareness
(e.g., RACE/PASS basics). Maintain fitness to perform foot patrols,
stand for extended periods, and assist in emergent lifts/transports
when requested by clinical teams. Conduct regular drills: lockdown,
infant abduction, active threat (run/hide/fight principles with
unarmed emphasis), fire/evacuation. Tools & Systems: Proficient
with access control (badge systems), CCTV, infant abduction/RTLS,
duress alarms, two-way radios, incident reporting software, and
visitor management platforms. Uses body positioning, time/distance,
and environmental advantages; carries minimal unarmed equipment
(radio, flashlight, gloves, restraints if policy allows, report
