Vermont JOB SUMMARY: The Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN)
assists the Urology surgeon in diagnosing and treating urological
conditions. The APRN will practice under a supervising physician
with responsibilities to include conducting patient evaluations,
formulating treatment plans, ordering and interpreting diagnostic
tests, assisting in surgeries and procedures, providing patient
education, and managing post-operative care. Excellent
communication and clinical skills are essential for this role.
DEPT. SCOPE OF SERVICE: The BMH-owned or managed physician
practices provide medical services in various specialties and
offices including pediatrics, OB/GYN, cardiology, orthopedics,
general surgery, family practice and internal medicine. The
practices are staffed by physicians and other licensed providers
who are supported by clinical staff (LPNs or medical assistants)
and clerical staff (receptionists, transcriptionists, file clerks).
Hours vary by practice. Requirements: QUALIFICATIONS: Education:
Master's degree from an accredited adult nurse practitioner
program. Experience: Two years of nursing experience in Urology
preferred. Licensure/Certification: Current licensure as an APRN by
the State of Vermont. Certifications as an adult or family nurse
practitioner by a national organization, which is recognized by the
Vermont State Board of Nursing preferred. Qualified to be
credentialed by the BMH Medical Staff. Healthcare Provider CPR
certification. DEA license. Mental Efforts: Requires eye/hand
coordination and manual dexterity. Normal and corrected
vision/hearing. Potential exposure to blood/body fluids and
communicable diseases. Helping and assisting with the lifting
and/or moving of patients. Environment & Working Conditions
Requires some exposure to communicable diseases or body fluids.
Potential for CTD and multiple and diverse interruptions. OSHA
CATEGORY OSHA Category I - Tasks that involve exposure to blood,
body fluids, or tissues require use of techniques of Universal
Precautions as evidenced with blood borne pathogens standards.

this position in good faith. The listed range represents the pay
scale reasonably expected for a successful candidate based on
factors such as relevant experience, education, internal equity,
and market competitiveness. Final compensation will be determined
