Albany Medical Center, a leading healthcare system combining a top-tier hospital with a distinguished medical college, is seeking a dedicated Clinical Nurse II to join our Neurosciences & Epilepsy Monitoring Unit. This role is critical in administering patient care for individuals undergoing diagnostic evaluations for neurological disorders and requires a compassionate, detail-oriented professional. The position is tailored for a nurse passionate about advancing the field of neurosciences and providing exceptional patient-centered care in a dynamic and supportive environment. Monitor and care for patients undergoing epilepsy monitoring and related neurological evaluations. Administer medications and treatments accurately and in accordance with care plans. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to facilitate integrated and comprehensive care. Educate patients and families on treatment protocols and health management post-discharge. Document patient care services by charting in patient and department records. Ensure operation of medical equipment by verifying proper functioning; requesting repairs when needed. Strong clinical skills with a focus on neurosciences and epilepsy. Ability to work effectively in a high-stress environment. Proficient in using medical software for patient care management. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New York. CPR certification required. Certification in Neuroscience Nursing (CNRN) or similar is highly desirable.
