The University of Vermont Medical Center, a leader in community health and advanced medical care, seeks an experienced MRI Tech I to provide expert imaging services in a compassionate, patient-focused setting. As part of our talented radiology team, the successful candidate will operate magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scanners to create diagnostic images vital for medical diagnosis. This role is critical in supporting our mission to deploy innovative healthcare solutions and offers a dynamic environment for professional growth in medical imaging technologies. Operate MRI equipment to perform diagnostic imaging procedures according to physician's orders Ensure the safety and comfort of patients during MRI procedures, optimizing protocols for individual needs Maintain accurate patient records and adhere to confidentiality protocols Collaborate with healthcare professionals to evaluate MRI results and determine necessary follow-up Manage the scheduling and preparation of patients for imaging to maximize scanner utilization Perform routine maintenance checks on MRI equipment and report any malfunctions Strong technical skills with extensive knowledge of MRI operational procedures Excellent patient management and communication skills Detail-oriented with strong observational skills Ability to follow complex instructions and adhere to safety protocols Medical Insurance Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in MRI Applicable state licensure as an MRI Technologist
