A contracted 1:1 School Nurse (Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse) position is available to provide dedicated care to a middle school student. This role involves working closely with the assigned student, focusing on specialized medical needs including tracheostomy care, and assisting in a school setting near Milford, MA. The position includes bus riding responsibilities to support the students transportation needs. Key Responsibilities: Provide personalized nursing care to a middle school student requiring 1:1 health support Manage and perform tracheostomy care according to medical protocols Monitor and support students health during school hours and bus transportation Collaborate with school staff and healthcare providers to maintain a safe and healthy environment Maintain accurate health records and documentation Desired Qualifications and Experience: Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license Experience in tracheostomy care and managing complex medical needs Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with educators, parents, and healthcare teams Prior experience in a school setting or pediatric nursing is highly preferred Comfortable providing care during transportation, including bus rides Assignment Details: Location: Middle school near Milford, MA Duration: Contract from January 20 to June 1, 2026 Role Type: School Year Contract (CSY) Student-focused, one-on-one assignment This position offers a meaningful opportunity to support a students health and educational experience while gaining specialized school nursing experience.
