Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Hospice Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 hours (08:00 - 17:00) Experience: Minimum 1 full year Adult Home Health Experience or 1 full year Hospice experience License: Must have license in hand Certifications: CPR, BLS Must-Have: Must have recent specialty experience Description: Provides and coordinates home nursing care according to physicians' orders. Care is based on agency policies and procedures. Competent application of the nursing process is required. Responsible to Clinical Manager. Directly supervises and evaluates home health aides and licensed practical nurses. Home visits and periodic office meetings are part of the role. Reliable transportation, a current driver's license, and agency-required liability insurance are necessary. Average number of patients per day is 5-8. Contractor will be assigned between 5-10 patients per day. Each type of visit and activity holds a different point value. There is no guarantee of hours. Contractors may discuss options to float to another clinic for hours if needed. Types of cases include start of care, wound care, and follow-up visits. Traveler should be willing to travel up to 75 miles. Mileage is reimbursed at the IRS standard rate. Local candidates are accepted. Must have proficiency in HomeCare HomeBase EMR and have used it within the last 6 months. All documentation must be completed within 24 hours of the appointment. There are no guaranteed hours with this contract. Candidates must understand the expectations regarding patient acceptance and documentation.
