Neurological Diseases Therapeutic Area From Research and

with Sanofi? Sanofi is searching for a Lab Head in the Rare &
Neurological Disease Research Therapeutic Area who will be a
scientific innovator, driver of scientific excellence, and
developer of cutting-edge therapeutics. The successful candidate
will demonstrate extensive expertise in neurological diseases as
evidenced by a robust publication track record in in leading
journals and presentations at national and international meetings.
The Lab Head will advance portfolio projects, manage scientists and
technical staff, and collaborate with multidisciplinary platform
groups. He/she will identify and validate new therapeutic targets
using human genetics, bioinformatics, and preclinical in vitro and
in vivo models of disease. The successful candidate will also be
responsible for developing and implementing new models and
technologies. Individuals with experience using induced pluripotent
stems cells (iPSCs) to establish in vitro human glial and neuronal
models of disease are strongly encouraged to apply. The Lab Head
will also be responsible for communicating their research results
through presentations, publications, and patents. Key
Responsibilities: Support the Rare & Neuroscience Therapeutic Area
strategy by identifying new targets and advancing projects in the
current pipeline. Implementation of multiple state-of-the-art
techniques in molecular biology, biochemistry, and imaging. Lead
high priority portfolio projects by leveraging research platform
support to meet project goals and timelines. Lead scientists and
technical staff experienced in a range of disciplines, from
molecular and cell biology, neuropharmacology, neurochemistry,
histopathology, and behavioral phenotyping to develop a deep
mechanistic understanding of disease pathogenesis. Publish cutting
edge science and develop key collaborations around the globe. Basic
Qualifications: Ph.D. in neuroscience, biology, pharmacology or
related discipline, with 5+ years postdoctoral fellowship training.
Experience leading research teams in an academic or industry
setting is required. Deep expertise and outstanding record of
publications in rare neurological diseases and/or related fields.
Expertise in cutting-edge approaches in cell biology,
transcriptomics, lipidomics, proteomics, bioinformatics, data
mining and other approaches to identify and validate new targets.
Expertise in one or more of the following areas:--establishing
human glial and neuronal models of disease using iPSCs, gene
editing, and using rodent models of neurodegeneration. Experience
leading multi-disciplinary and matrixed teams. Outstanding
