Job Description:

The SSCI Products Division is seeking a Director of Naval Business Development (DNBD) to identify, qualify, and capture an opportunity pipeline for SSCI's technologies and products. The DNBD will be a member of the Products Division Leadership Team (PDLT), reporting to the VP of Business Development.Essential Functions:

• The Director of Naval Business Development will actively engage with the Navy customer, participate in Government Industry Days, analyze budgets, and attend tradeshows to gather information on upcoming programs, funding, and government priorities.
• Synthesize gathered information and present the Products Division Leadership Team with a succinct summary of the opportunities over the next 1-5 years.
• Work with the Products Leadership Team to inform IRAD investments, recommend partnerships to increase probabilities of win, and help grow the Business Development team as the division and company expand.
• Experience developing and presenting business reviews to executive and C-level audiences.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders including government agencies, industry partners, and potential clients.
• Research and track new and emerging trends, propose and develop new strategic partnerships, collaborate on RFPs and proposals, and guide long-term objectives to meet business needs and requirements.
• This role will require travel of 1-2 trips per month.Basic Requirements:
• 10+ years of Business Development and/or Active Duty/Guard/Reserves experience in the Naval Defense Industry.
• Active DOD Secret Clearance or higher.
• Strong experience with DFAR/FAR.
• Experience capturing large DOD programs.
• Existing relationships with Navy Acquisition, Budget, and Program Execution decision makers.Preferred Additional Skills:

• Excellent communication skills.
• Master's degree in business, marketing, or related field.
