Clinical Nurse Manager, Registered Nurse - Oak Knoll Healthcare CenterFull-Time, 40 hours/week - all shiftsBase Pay: $43.00-51.00Differentials offered for evening, night and weekend shiftsEssential Duties: To provide exceptional care to all residents including but not limited to:-Under the direction of the Director of Nursing Services, holds 24-hour authority, responsibility and accountability for the clinical management of assigned resident/patient care unit.- Participates in regularly scheduled nursing department meetings.- Obtain report from nurse being relieved and records sufficient information to implement appropriate follow up action as necessary- Provides report to nurse coming on duty, including sufficient information for follow-up action if necessary- Conducts resident rounds, reporting problems to nursing supervisor and initiating corrective action- Administers and documents medication, enteral nutrition and treatment per physician order and accurately records all care provided and observations daily- Performs comprehensive assessments of each resident on unit- Reviews and approves admission and re-admission nursing assessments completed by an LPN- Develops care plan based on each resident's assessment- Obtains physician orders and any revisions for all treatment and medications needed- Assesses on a weekly basis the skin condition, stage, size, site, depth, color, drainage and odor of condition- May conduct staff meetings; coordinate services rendered by nursing personnel with those rendered by personnel of other departments.- Observes infection control policies and procedures relating to nursing services.-Directs and supervises activities of professional and non-professional nursing personnel; evaluates staff performance.- Supports and participates in In-services Education Programs.- Renders immediate assistance to any resident in need- Supervise and evaluate all direct resident care and initiates corrective action as necessary- Provides clinical supervision of nursing assistants providing direct patient care- Assumes responsibility for compliance with federal, state and local regulations within the assigned unit- Counsels nursing assistants and communicates clearly with Director of Nursing if issues arise- Collaborates with interdisciplinary team to assure that high quality resident care is maintained- Prepares nurse assistant assignments and explains all pertinent resident care- Supervises distribution of nourishments- Supervises the removal of all postural supports- Orders, receives and documents medication according to facility procedure- Supervises response to residents calls for assistance and responds to call lights as necessary- Insures that all physician renewal orders and physician documentation is timely and appropriatePrerequisites:- Graduate of an accredited Registered Nurse school of nursing- Current and active RN license in the state of Massachusetts- Current certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support in accordance with AHS or ARC standards- Minimum of three (3) years recent clinical experience preferably in Medical-Surgical, Gerontological or Rehabilitative Nursing.- Prior MDS Management experience preferred.Benefits available:-401k-Paid Sick-Paid Vacation-Paid Holiday-Medical-Dental-Vision-Life-Short and Long Term Disability-Hospital and Accident policy-Critical Illness-Christmas Club-Flexible Spending Accounts-Health Savings Account9U9dCxok54by Jobble
