Retail Banking DirectorThe Retail Banking Director is responsible for overseeing and directing all aspects of the operations of the retail branch offices to ensure efficient operations of each branch, delivery of quality customer service in all interactions, and compliance with existing regulations and policies. The incumbent will ensure that branch offices consistently apply and adhere to applicable policies and procedures and ensure that customers are being serviced at the highest level. In addition, develops and implements tactical plans and establishes objectives for the branches that are aligned with the bank's strategic goals. Successfully establishes strong customer relationships and teaches relationship building techniques to branch employees. Experience & Education Requirements:Bachelor's Degree in business management or related field or the equivalent retail banking experienceExtensive knowledge in financial institution operating policies and procedures and regulatory requirementsTen or more years of experience working in retail operations of a community bankExperience with digital and electronic bankingStrong supervisory, leadership and employee development skills Essential Job Functions:Actively participate as a member of senior management serving on the Technology, DR/BCP, Compliance, SAR and Management committeesMaintain overall responsibility for the Bank's retail banking network, including the implementation of strategies and establishment of goals to achieve growth, profit and operational efficiencyProvide overall direction, guidance, and support to direct reports/departmental managersEnsure that managers and personnel are well trained and utilized in the most effective manner in order to provide the highest level of service to the Bank's customersOversee training and development programs of the retail departmentImplement appropriate policies and procedures to ensure efficiencies within retail bankingResponsible for assisting with new products and services to improve the market share and increase deposit volume to achieve the Bank's overall deposit goalsMonitor market trends, customer demographics, industry trends and makes appropriate recommendationsAnalyze and prepares reports related to branch activities such as sales and profitability and provides related information to the President/COO/TreasurerAnalyze the customer database and recommend enhancements to the customer's experience by offering various products and servicesAssists as requested with developing, implementing and marketing new products and servicesActively participates in community organizations and events to enhance the Bank's presence and support the development of new customer relationshipsParticipate in the preparation and updating of the strategic plan and the annual budgeting process as requestedEnsure compliance with all federal and state regulations that impact the Retail DepartmentRequired knowledge, skills & abilities:Superior knowledge of retail banking operational activities and thorough understanding of all products and servicesProficiency with digital banking and the management of a call centerExcellent communication skills to establish relationships with the communities and effectively convey goals and initiatives to staff and managementMust be able to handle escalated member issues or inquiries in a satisfactory mannerAbility to establish realistic and specific goals for self and others and keep the branches on track toward goal achievementAble to work in a fast paced, changing environment and prioritize work assignments effectivelyCompliance with BSA regulations as appropriate to the position Physical Demands and Work Environment: Ability to use standard equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiersFrequently local travel for bank purposes and/or on behalf of the bank (i.e. visiting other worksites, networking, community/marketing events)Sitting for longer periods of timeMust be able to work schedules that meet the needs of the Bank, which may include early morning, evening and /or weekend hours Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Other DutiesThis job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
