Merchandising Technology provides the systems, integrations, and architecture to support Merchandising business processes at Staples. You will be responsible for maintaining and developing scalable, efficient solutions using cut edge tech.
What you'll be doing:

  Promote and instill best practices in Software Engineering development.
  
  
• 
  Ensure design meets requirement and deliver high quality work on tight schedules.
  
  
• 
  Instill best practices in recruiting, interviewing, and mentoring excellent team of engineers
  
  
• 
  Define product roadmaps, suggest new initiatives, and present software solutions to business problems
  
  
• 
  Lead technical feasibility, implementation approach and deployment strategies
  
  
• 
  Lead the creation of design documents that ensure consistency in development across the digital organization.

    Qualifications :
    What's needed- Basic Qualifications
    
    • 
      
    • 
      Bachelor's Degree in Computer Field
      
      
    • 
      7-10 years of experience in a technical management role
      
      
    • 
      At least 2-year experience with cloud computing (Microsoft Azure)
      
      
    • 
      Extensive experience designing and developing microservices and RESTful APIs using Spring Framework, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, JWT, or Oauth 2.0
      
      
    • 
      Strong interpersonal and communication skills
      
      
    • 
      3+ years of experience in Agile practices
      
      
    • 
      Highly skilled in the software development life cycle, software architecture and writing software
      
      
      What's needed- Preferred Qualifications
      
      • 
        
      • 
        Master's degree in computer science
        
        
      • 
        2+ year Retail/e-comm experience
        
        
      • 
        Bias for action and a natural ability to work around impediments
        
        
      • 
        Experience building multiple concurrent projects of high technical complexity
