Partner with our portfolio leadership team, to implement strategies to achieve our vision. Mature our end to end process to increase transparency and the effective prioritization of our work across the enterprise, allowing us to meet our business objectives.Our Global Business Services (GBS) team executes and enhances business processes so that--Bose employees can focus on innovation and--astonishing the customer.--We improve employee productivity and enterprise value--through the delivery of standard, scalable and user-friendly business processes, systems and services. We develop, maintain and implement services across the world driving efficiencies and effectiveness and providing value to our employees and our internal and external customers. Key Objectives & Accountabilities -- Lead the process to align and shape the vision for Bose's scaled agile journey partnering with enterprise leadership as we implement SAFe. Define our strategy for how we scale our portfolio structure as we expand the breadth of the process at Bose. Integrate new ways of working and new capabilities that allow us to roll out, mature and scale our portfolio management end to end process. This opportunity is ideal for someone with a demonstrated ability to lead and drive change developing a portfolio management function. Main areas of responsibility-- Lead conversations and partner with business owners to translate and cascade our strategic direction into our portfolio priorities. Facilitate tradeoff conversations of competing priorities encouraging the leadership team to discuss and align what we can and cannot do. Drive optimization across sometimes disparate goals. Serve as a connector with our business owners and architects who develop Bose's strategic roadmaps and the flow of work into the EPIC funnel/ refinement process.Responsible for maintaining and improving our lean portfolio management end to end process including continuous improvement, defining and implementing technology (Jira/Jira Align), governance, tracking value delivery, OKR's and process KPI's. Develop leadership dashboards with analysis of performance against objectives at the EPIC and theme level in partnership with Finance, Business and Product Owners. Includes the tracking of how our investments are distributed as well as development of long-term roadmaps.Manage the cadence and flow of our LPM ceremonies/meetings in partnership with our Lean Agile Center of Excellence (LACE) . This includes planning and facilitating our portfolio prioritization discussions and preparedness of trains for participation in EPIC approval reviews. Partner with LACE to implement best practices, change management and communications as we onboard new parts of our Bose enterprise into the SAFe framework.
-- Education and Experience Requirements --

  • A minimum of 5 - 7 years of experience in portfolio management. Complexity of that environment at roughly 10+ business/technology departments; $50M+ spend, and -200+ FTE resources.
  • SAFe Agile Lean Portfolio Management experience a plus
  • Experience driving a process and tool implementation (preferably SAFe and Jira Align) in a global, cross-functional and digital environment
  • Demonstrated success with aligning/merging multiple portfolios within a technical environment
  • Experience with process development and continuous improvement
  • Certification in the application of Lean, Agile and SAFe methods (preferably SAFe LPM certification)
  • B.S. in Business or Technology; MBA is highly desirable. Key competencies
