Job Description:

Working under the direction of the Engineering Manager 1, will be

responsible for designing and developing backend code generation

architecture that will enable and improve many downstream features;

defining and evolving new program infrastructure; designing and

implementing all stages of software design, coding, and testing within

Simulink code generation products using tools including C++, MATLAB, and

compiler infrastructure; enhancing Embedded Coder capabilities to handle

various code generation features; collaborating with other software

development teams to ensure a successful integration of new architecture

with the existing code generation infrastructures; and assisting

downstream teams leverage infrastructure features.

Education and Experience:

Master’s degree or higher (or foreign education equivalent) in

Engineering or Computer Science and no experience.

OR

Bachelor’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Engineering or

Computer Science and five (5) years of experience in job offered or five

(5) years of experience performing embedded code generation.

Special Requirements:

• Demonstrated expertise with Intermediate Representation (IR)

used in a Language Translation tool -- compiler or interpreter.

• Demonstrated expertise writing Control Flow Graph algorithms in

C++ to perform code motion to remove copies in a procedural language.

• Demonstrated expertise writing algorithms in C++ that traverse

IR to translate high-level data types.

• Demonstrated expertise in design, testing, or technical support

of Simulink models using Variant Subsystems and Inline Variants.
