Security Clearance Status: Not Required Our Air Traffic Systems
(ATS) Systems Engineering Department has an immediate opportunity
for an experienced Systems Engineer to join our ATS Air Traffic
Control (ATC) team in Omaha, NE or Marlborough, MA. Principal
Systems Engineers provide technical direction and clarification of
requirements to software development teams & test personnel,
perform system engineering analyses including trade studies,
requirements definition and derivation, interface definition, and
requirement verification and validation. As part of the ATS team,
you'll be instrumental in supporting the next generation of Air
Traffic Control by supporting the replacement of the Federal
Aviation System’s (FAA) aging legacy weather systems with a Next
Generation Weather solution. This position requires occasional
domestic travel. What You Will Do: Perform networking and
integration activities to support development, maintenance, and
deployment of the system Manage and/or generate systems engineering
related documentation of legacy and newly developed products
(design memos, specifications, diagrams, Interface Control
Documents, test requirements/plans, optimization procedures) in
support of projects. Perform Data analysis, including development
of various analysis tools Make informed technical decisions to
drive project success and conduct various technical analyses to
support decision making process Perform trade studies and make
recommendations with respect to insertion of new technologies and
algorithms on our roadmap to meet required capability advances.
Support the planning, execution and documenting of formal
qualification tests Perform job analysis to estimate engineering
effort required for specific tasks and projects. Support other
engineering staff with system engineering related technical issues.
Qualifications You Must Have: Typically requires a degree in
Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a
minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced
Degree in a related field and a minimum of 3 years of experience.
Must have a minimum of 5 years of prior experience in systems
engineering, with experience in containerization technologies (ex.
Docker, Podman, Kubernetes) SSL/TLS Certificate Management
experience Experience with Red Hat Linux 9.x Experience with
Systems Integration and Test and best practices Must have prior
experience generating and delivering technical documentation to
stakeholders, including drafting, reviewing, and updating materials
Experience with automated test tools Test experience at customer or
offsite locations Travel to visit customer sites for short periods
of time is required. U.S. citizenship is required - Only U.S.
citizens are authorized to access information under these
programs/contracts. Must be willing to obtain FAA clearance: Must
have or be capable of obtaining a US Federal Aviation
Administration (FAA) clearance. Qualifications We Prefer:
Networking experience (L2/L3 networking, LACP, firewalls, VRRP)
Prior experience supporting a US Federal Aviation Administration
(FAA) government contract. Prior ATC program work experience,
including NWP program experience Experience with Agile Development
Processes Experience with AI/Machine Learning, Modeling and
Simulation Applications, Agile/Scrum, and Atlassian Jira/Confluence
Experience in cost estimation and generation of government
technical proposals; preparation of Basis of Estimates (BOEs)

remote. The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD.
The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative
