You’ll Do: As a Field Service Technician - Northeast Region, you
will perform and carry out all tasks related to installing,
assembling, servicing, and repairing Aerzen products. You are also
responsible for providing customers with prompt, professional and
high-quality service. Work is performed at our location and/or at
our customer’s location. Services provided may be scheduled or
on-demand. Overnight travel on short notice is often required.
Position Responsibilities: Approximately 100% travel, often four
nights away weekly, on a continuous basis. This role covers the
Northeast Region, including NY, NJ, CT & MA. Performs startups,
equipment inspections, troubleshooting, repairs and/or preventive
maintenance service on all Aerzen Products at customer sites;
Represent Aerzen in professional and courteous manner following all
Aerzen and customer safety requirements. Installing, configuring,
calibrating and maintaining control, measurement and indicating
instrumentation (pneumatic, analog & digital); Installing and
terminating electrical, pneumatic and fluid connections; Understand
controls narratives and analyze/troubleshoot process application
related issues. Analyzing and correcting communication issues;
Properly address TCP/IP networks and RS-485 communications. Perform
repairs and assembly on Aerzen Products; Disassemble; assess damage
and evaluate failures on machines; diagnose problems with Aerzen
machines by evaluating material condition and asking the customer
questions; demonstrates the ability to offer machine-based
recommendations; can identify the root cause of a machine failure;
Utilize defined procedures and a standard rebuild kit. Read,
understand and use equipment diagrams, checklists, engineering
drawings, and other process documentation to perform service tasks,
assembly and repairs on Aerzen Products. Communicate with customers
to discuss job requirements, provide recommendations and service
options, listen to customer concerns, and provide status updates
during service call and at completion. Assist engineering in plant
design, modifications and hazard analysis. Complete written repair
reports to document cause of failure, description of work
performed, materials consumed, condition of equipment as received
and as returned to the customer. Conduct customer training on
Aerzen Products when onsite. Requirements: Requirements: Education
Requirements: High School Diploma or associate degree (2 years
schooling) in electronics technology, or associated field. 5 years
of field experience will also be considered in lieu of degree.
Experience: Over 4 years of Field Service and Repair experience.
Skills & Other Requirements: Ability to read and interpret diagrams
(dimensions, assembly, electrical) Proper use of micrometer, dial
indicator, feeler gauges and coordinate measuring tools Ability to
regularly use a forklift, ladder, hand tools, power tools, welding,
calibrated measurement devices, hydraulic equipment is a must.
