Description: Position: Cost Engineer (Pricing/Quoting)Location: Hudson, MA (on-site)Schedule: Monday to Friday 8am to 5pmCompensation: Negotiable based on experience/fair market valueEmployment Type: Full-Time, Direct HireBenefits offered to you:Paid Time Off including holidays and vacationHealth, Dental, and Vision insurance2 Health Plan Options - One with fully reimbursed deductible!Flexible Spending AccountDependent Care Reimbursement Account401(k) with company matchCompany provided group life insurance and AD&DCompany provided short-term disability coverageOptional long-term disability coverageOptional Cancer Insurance and Extended Illness InsuranceEmployee Referral BonusesPurpose & Scope: This vital position will be responsible for reviewing, pricing, and quoting customer projects to ensure low cost and efficient manufacturing while satisfying all requirements and product specifications.Essential Duties May Include: Interacting with sales, internal Engineering teams, and external vendors to appropriately price new customer projectsReviewing customer agreements and specifications to ensure materials used are appropriate for the job and abide by ISO specifications (as applicable)Completing RFQ's, producing reliable estimates, and verifying the tooling provided by suppliers meet all requirements necessary for efficient productionSecuring external vendor pricing and/or applying standard costs to determine the price of manufacturingApplying profit margins by marking up cost and recommending the final selling price to management teamReviewing and approving all tool designs and design changes, making any updates to pricing as neededEnsuring complete and accurate filing of customer history folders, pricing data, and related records/reportsPreparing estimates for the teams to plan, organize, and schedule workThe ideal candidate will have:Bachelors Degree in Plastics Engineering or a related disciplineProven experience pricing/quoting custom plastic injection molding jobsKnowledge of mold building, raw materials, latest equipment and techniques as well as injection molding resins and processingStrong attention to detail and ability to work independently and part of a teamHighly motivated and posses the ability to work well under deadlinesStrong communication skills (written and verbal)Note:This description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
