Compensation Range : 120,000 - 135,000.

Staples is focused on our customer and our community. As aSoftware Engineer III - IOS Software Engineerfor Staples, you will help drive technical innovation within the Staples Last Mile Platform. You will be leading the design, development, testing, implementation, and support of mobile applications and related integrations.
The IOS Engineer, reporting to the Engineering Manager, will work to develop and execute native IOS applications meeting customer expectations and specifications as discussed and detailed in Epics, Features and Stories (SAFe Agile Process). You will partner with other engineers and experts in the broader organization to build Last Mile Delivery Platform.
What you'll be doing:
* Gather deep technical expertise in all mobile areas as they relate to IOS platform including but not limited to IOS and IOS Internals.
* Develop in-depth knowledge of several Staples business processes and systems environment.
* Actively participate in the definition, design, development, testing and implementation of software functionality using the Agile methodology.
* Create or modify complex programs, modules, routines, scripts, and data objects from a detailed design where efficiency, performance and reliability are critical.
* Work with and advise both business and technology teams (internal and external) on how best to implement desired features and enhancements.
* Ensure that technical solutions follow best practices, are reliable, are easily maintainable and are scalable under sustained load.
* Conduct knowledge transition on solutions to the designated application support team(s).
* Create and evolve application documentation as required.
What you bring to the table:

* Understanding of Apple's design principles and interface guidelines.
* Experience with resource management and performance tuning.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; thrives working in a highly iterative, agile, and open team environment.
* Experience with delivering iOS applications to the Apple App Store.
Qualifications : What's needed- Basic Qualifications:
* Bachelors degree (CS preferred) or equivalent work experience.
* 3+ years building native iOS applications using frameworks such as Swift, Objective C, etc. Experience with both UIKit and SwiftUI.
* 5+ years of full software development lifecycle experience including the ability to perform independent analysis.
* 5+ years of experience working with web services (SOAP/HTTP, REST).

What's needed- Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience working with iOT devices.
* Experience with cross-platform mobile frameworks.
* Exposure to working in a retail solutions.
* Experience in handling multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
