We're looking for software development professionals experienced in embedded software development to become part of our growing team.As an Embedded Software Quality Engineerat Bose, you'll be part of a talented cross-functional team collaborating to develop new premium consumer audio devices that amaze and delight our users. Our group within the Consumer Electronics Division is responsible for developing the firmware that operates our industry-leading wireless noise-canceling headphones and portable Bluetooth audio devices that consumers love.Core Responsibilities:* Design and execute test suites for battery systems within embedded software for newly developed consumer electronics products* Design test fixtures for testing battery systems in an automated fashion, in collaboration with lead and other embeded software engineers* Writing test scripts for automation in collaboration with Embedded Software Developers and other SQA engineers* Write up deffects found in tests, capturing logs, and specific procedures for reproduction of failures* Create analysis and reports of test run outcomes from runs of test suites.* Work with embedded software engineers to help reporduce, troubleshoot and find root cause of problems* Perform validation of fixes to problems identiifed* Perform power consumption testing.* Create stress tests and other test strategies that will accelerate reproduction of low occurance (e.g. 0.1% ) hardware problems* Work with physical products, and observe the behavior of the physical productRequirements:* At least 5 years of experience software testing using scripting* Consumer Electronics Background is a strong desire* Ability to work remote from the office with lab equipment and prototype equipment* Ability to use python scripting language* Ability to work autonomously as well as work under direct supervision* Familiarity with test documentation and tools such as test rail, JIRA, wiki, etc---* Ability to read requirement sets and develop tests based on requirements and technical documentation* Famility with Bluetooth and wearable/mobile devices is strong desire* Famility with Electrical Engineering concepts and designs such as voltage, current, schematics is needed. We do not need an EE but familiarity with Electrical concepts is a must* Familiarity with Github, Jenkins, Continualy Integration/Continual Development concepts, SCRUM/Agile techniques.* Ability to work within a small 6-8 person team as well as work across team boundaries within the organization.* Experience with basic lab equipment (oscilloscopes, multi-meters, etc.)Additional skills desired:* Experience with embedded peripherals such as I2C, I2S, SPI or USB* Experience test Bluetooth and BLE a strong plus* Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively on teams and a desire to learn from others* Strong oral and written communication skills* Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills* Experience with delivering a product into high volume manufacturingEducation:BSEE/BSCS/BSCE with a minimum of 5 years related work experience.
