We are builders and innovators extending TJX's renowned treasure hunt experience to new audiences and fans.The Digital Technical Operations Engineer is part of TJX's Digital IT Operations Organization, and in their role will help us to deliver on some of our key commitments and help to enable us for scalability and growth. Your attention to detail, strong operational foundation, and clear communication are needed to partner with others.ResponsibilitiesEnsure systems meet availability goals, transactions perform as expected, capacity is available and user experience is excellent;Leverage various application performance and web analytics tools and logs to monitor performance and identify any potential issues requiring resolution;Collaborate with teams to ensure new products are sufficiently transitioned for support.Collaborate with leadership, business partners, and support team to appropriately assess and prioritize issues;Collaborate with team members and vendors to address issues and improve site performance;Ensure critical systems are highly available with tested backup and recovery procedures in place;Work with Development teams to ensure their systems are well designed and well designed, deployed to production and any known risks are identified and mitigated.Participate in an on-call rotation as required.Constantly identifies ways to improve processes, site performance, and monitoring.What you'll needWe are looking for teammates who share our passion for building excellent customer experiences using agile methodologies and the latest in cloud technology. We need more smart, agile, and intellectually curious people who love delivering things that will delight our customers.Minimum QualificationsBachelor's Degree in technology or information systems or equivalent work experience;4+ years of related IT experience with 2+ years of experience in application support;At least one year of hands-on experience with either Akamai CDN, DevOps Automation, Splunk or a scripting platform.Experience with cloud & virtualization technologies and vendorsStrong knowledge of common Internet protocols (TCP, DNS, HTTP);Curious, Inquisitive with strong analytic and decision making abilities;Ability to understand and communicate the business impact of technical issues.Preferred QualificationsExperience in Retail / E-Commerce is preferredExperience working in either .NET or Linux EnvironmentsExperience working with and holding vendors & third parties accountable for service & deliverables;Experience with monitoring and analytics tools preferred (AppDynamics, Splunk, etc)Experience following ITIL change management processes preferred (1+ years)Experience using SaaS based services preferred;Join us and Discover Different at TJX, click here to learn more.Discover Different at TJX means opportunity, teamwork, and career growth.
