BARBIERI ELEMENTARY SCHOOL--
TITLE: Elementary Vice-Principal-- 2021-2022 School Year POSITION
SUMMARY : To use leadership, supervisory, and administrative skills
to assist the elementary principal to promote and advance the
educational development of each student. This includes such
responsibilities--as:--leading, directing, counseling, and
supervising a variety of personnel and programs; creating effective
parent, teacher, child communications, supporting, encouraging,
mentoring, and evaluating staff; fostering teamwork between
teachers and among staff and parents; and managing budget items.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Current and valid DESE
license in Principal/Assistant Principal grades 1-6 and SEI
Endorsement for Administrators.--Please note that licensure
requirements are subjected to change at the discretion of DESE.
TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE: Five (5) years of teaching experience in a
public school setting and at least three years of administrative
experience. Said administrative experience shall include at a
minimum supervision and evaluation of staff and professional
development work. Masters Degree in education preferred.--Bilingual
(Portuguese and/or Spanish) skills preferred. Framingham Public

PHYSICAL WORKING CONDITIONS: The work environment characteristics

feel objects, tools, or controls; and to stoop, kneel, crouch, and
crawl. The employee is occasionally required to sit and reach with
hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up
to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job
include peripheral--vision and close vision such as
reading--typewritten--material.--The employee must be able to input
information into a computer and as well as read material from a
computer monitor as well as handwritten or printed matter with or
without visual aids. The employee must be able to communicate
effectively with students, parents, and other staff members in
person and on the telephone.--The employee will be working in a
normal school environment with an acceptable level of noise. The
work typically requires occasional in-district travel to attend
meetings. REPORTS TO: SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Assists in the
supervision and evaluation of-- Teachers, Aides, and Assistant
Teachers per Principal's direction. FAIR LABOR STANDARDS ACT (FLSA)
CLASSIFICATION: This position is classified as Exempt
