Job Description:
Product Owner - Reporting & Analytics (The Boston Consulting
Group, Inc.- Boston, Massachusetts): Lead the functional design for
reporting and analytics to enable solutions that facilitate data
driven decision making and enhanced employee experience. Specific
job duties include: lead the development of the future functional
design for reporting and analytics within workday including the
initial statement of work, and global design; develop the strategy
and roadmap to enhance reporting and analytics capabilities,
implementation and post implementation functional design; gather
reporting business requirements from key human resources
stakeholders and incorporate requirements into statement of work
and global design to ensure local and market requirements are
reflected e.g. local laws, market conditions; collaborate with the
Core HR team in the development of the HR data model to ensure it
enables a range of HR reporting needs including GDPR, gender pay,
operational HR reporting, FTE and headcount reporting HR KPIs;
identify opportunities to align and simplify HR reporting across
modules ensuring a common approach to reporting, dashboards, KPIs,
metrics and enable enhanced workforce analytics across the
organization; work closely with the system integrator and domain
product owners on key design decisions and draft reporting
including dashboards, custom reporting and custom fields;
understand integrations and implications for reporting including
EDW, data types, and source data; deliver program roadmap and
ensure reporting is at the forefront of design and future
enhancements including advanced analytics, big data, EDW and
Artificial Intelligence (AI) by working with broader project team,
functional experts, and technical teams; design and manage approach
for user acceptance testing including identifying key users, test
scripts and escalation processes and align to project timelines;
drive the roll out plan and stakeholder engagement for Human
Resources and other stakeholders including education plans, skills
development and domain specific training for use of standard
reports and custom reporting; oversee the system post
implementation including developing and managing ongoing reporting
model, enhancements, and dashboards; ensure future business needs
can be met by the solution and escalate where necessary for future
roadmap; service as a key change agent and ensure regular
communications to HR functional stakeholders including preparing
engagement plan, developing materials and where necessary represent
the broader project team at events; and support Workday scheduled
updates and research future product releases. Requires a Bachelors
degree (or higher) in computer science, engineering, information
systems, applied mathematics or related field (willing to accept
foreign education equivalent) plus ten (10) years of experience
designing functional data systems for reporting and analytics
within a top-tier consulting firm. Specific skills/other
requirements - must also possess the following (quantitative
experience requirements not applicable to this section unless
otherwise stated): working with Workday HCM (or other ERP HCM) and
business processes within Core HR, compensation, absence, time
tracking, payroll, benefits, talent and performance, and security;
working on HR analytics and data analysis projects; applying
subject matter expertise across change management, project
management and Human Resources transformation; developing HR data
models and capturing necessary HR reporting parameters; overseeing,
maintaining and enhancing systems post implementation; and
utilizing advanced analytics in system development and reporting;
must also possess the following: five (5) years of experience
building custom reports and dashboards using standard workday
reporting functionality (Report Writer, Calculated Fields). Must
possess: Workday HCM certification and Workday Advanced Reporting
Certification. Up to 20% travel required. M-F, 9:00 a.m. to 6:00
