Job Description:
An established general contractor is seeking a hands-on,
experienced Superintendent to lead the execution of commercial
construction projects in the Hartford area. This is a great
opportunity for a field leader who takes pride in building
high-quality projects on schedule and within budget. Client Details
Our client is a regional GC with decades of experience building
commercial offices, healthcare facilities, K-12/municipal
buildings, and light industrial projects. Known for quality
craftsmanship and consistent repeat business, they're looking to
grow their field leadership team in central Connecticut.
Description Supervise daily on-site construction activities and
ensure project timelines are met Coordinate subcontractor
performance, manage sequencing, and enforce safety protocols
Conduct site walkthroughs, maintain site logistics, and update
progress reports Collaborate with the Project Manager to review
drawings, RFIs, and resolve field issues Manage quality control,
conduct inspections, and maintain documentation Lead daily huddles
and subcontractor meetings to ensure smooth communication and
execution Profile 5 years of experience supervising commercial
construction projects (ground-up and/or interior fit-outs) Strong
understanding of local building codes, construction sequencing, and
safety compliance OSHA 30 certification (required) Ability to read
and interpret drawings, schedules, and submittals Proficiency in
project documentation and reporting (Procore experience a plus)
Effective leadership and communication skills with a
solution-oriented mindset Experience in healthcare, education, or
