3rd Party Billing Manager - Accounting Central Administration Boston, MA, USA Req #1109 Wednesday, April 6, 2022 Essential Functions of Position: Submit billing from assigned programs and provide feedback to Enter the submitted information into the Hill A/R Plus System for electronic and paper Apply and/or oversee application of payments to the appropriate services within the A/R Plus System Act as designated contact person for all payers billed by department Hire, train, supervise, and evaluate 3rd Party Team Leader and assist with Third Party Billing Specialists and Cash Application specialist.Complete and/or oversee completion and distribution of the following reports within indicated timeframes: A/R Status Report - Monthly ATB Summary Report - Monthly Detailed Aging Report and Analysis - Monthly Unit Rate Contract Status Report - Monthly Bad Debt Report - Monthly Cash Reconciliation Report - Monthly Write-Off Report - Monthly Productivity Report - Monthly Audit Reports - Annually, and as needed Other Reports - as needed Submit the completed A/R Status Report and ATB Summary Report to Director of A/Rfor inclusion in the monthly closing process two days prior to the scheduled monthly closing date (this will usually be the 15th of the month but varies occasionally) ubmit the completed Cash Reconciliation Report to the Cash Receipts Specialist for inclusion in the monthly closing process two days prior to the scheduled monthly closing date (this will usually be the 15thof the month but varies occasionally) SPerform and/or oversee collection actions as necessary on all third party billing, and report on ongoing collection efforts monthly. Manage all appeals, rebilling, and corrective billing projects as necessary and within all designated timeframes for each project Apprise Director of A/R of any issues that significantly impact billing, payments, and collections immediately as they arise Complete and/or oversee completion of credentialing packages and contracting activities as necessary Research new/updated billing procedures and provide training to staff as necessary Complete special projects as necessary and other relevant duties as assigned Requirements for the position: Minimum of five years' experience in relevant third party billing required (ie, mental health, substance abuse, developmental disabilities, senior services) Minimum of three years' experience supervising staff required Proficiency in MS Excel and computer literacy; ability to learn new software quickly Proficiency in Hill A/R Plus or similar software preferred Highly developed organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced work environment a diverse population of colleaguesDemonstrated ability to work both independently and within a team Ability to be flexible, open, and responsive to ongoing industry changes
